A former DEIS school pupil who achieved her dream of becoming a barrister is hoping to inspire other young students to follow her path.
Rebecca Hanratty has been supporting the Bar of Ireland's ‘Look Into Law’ programme for Transition Year students.
She says she is proof that a career at the Bar is "possible for everyone".

Respect for the rule of law and public confidence in the judiciary's ability to resolve disputes are essential to the establishment of a democratic Palestinian state. But widespread mistrust and misinformation about the legal and judicial system in the West Bank and Gaza pose barriers to this development.
The Arkan Supporting Rule of Law Reform Project created public awareness programs for young people. These programs included a respect for rule of law awareness program and a trial training program.
